Serdecznie zapraszamy na Międzynarodową Konferencję „Wyzwania wobec tożsamości religijnej w życiu publicznym - między sztuką, a medycyną”, która odbędzie się w dniach 4-5 listopada 2021 r. w Centrum Dialogu im. Jana Pawła II w Toruniu. Konferencja potrwa dwa dni sprzyjające podjęciu refleksji naukowej oraz dyskusji.
Poszanowanie i ochrona tożsamości religijnej w życiu publicznym to obecnie jedno z najpilniejszych zagadnień na poziomie globalnym. Wiele grup religijnych i osób wierzących na całym świecie zmaga się z prześladowaniami i ograniczeniami wolności religijnej. Kryzys ten rodzi wiele pytań dotyczących właściwej równowagi między prawami wolnościowymi, które wkraczają w prawo do praktykowania własnej religii lub przekonań indywidualnie i zbiorowo, zarówno prywatnie, jak i publicznie. Pandemia Covid-19, która jest punktem zwrotnym w historii, przyniosła dodatkowe i bezprecedensowe ograniczenia wielu praw podstawowych, w tym wolności religijnej. Celem konferencji, w której weźmie udział wielu ekspertów z dziedziny prawa, filozofii, teologii, medycyny i sztuki, jest lepsze poznanie z różnych perspektyw aktualnych wyzwań, możliwości i obowiązków związanych ze złożonym charakterem wolności religijnej w życiu publicznym.
Zapraszamy zatem naukowców z całego świata do zaprezentowania tematów poruszających trzy główne kwestie:
Propozycje wystąpień składające się ze streszczenia artykułu (nie więcej niż 300 słów) i krótkiej biografii (nie więcej niż 400 słów) należy przesyłać na adres: conference@laboratoriumwolnosci.pl
Termin rejestracji na konferencję wraz z przesłaniem streszczenia referatu upływa 30 czerwca 2021 r.
Informacja o przyjęciu lub odrzuceniu propozycji referatu zostanie przekazana autorom do 15 lipca 2021 r. Prace będą przyjmowane na podstawie ich jakości naukowej, adekwatności do tematyki konferencji oraz spójności z programem konferencji.
Nie ma opłaty za uczestnictwo. Jednak od uczestników, których propozycja referatu zostanie zaakceptowana, oczekuje się pokrycia własnych kosztów podróży i zakwaterowania.
Organizatorzy zamierzają wydać książkę zawierającą prezentacje i materiały konferencyjne. Każdy uczestnik deklarujący aktywny udział w konferencji zostanie zaproszony do przygotowania tekstu do druku. Teksty będą przyjmowane do publikacji po uzyskaniu pozytywnej recenzji.
Konferencja odbędzie się w języku angielskim.

Laboratory of Relioious Freedom invites you to a series of discussions on religious freedom in the field of education. Today, religious freedom is often seen as a force that divides rather than binds society. The key to changing the attitude towards the meaning and value of religious freedom is the proper education, upbringing and shaping attitudes conducive to building social relations based on mutual respect and understanding of the diversity of religions, as well as the non-denomination itself. In order to create an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of views and ideas about the place of religion at each stage of the education of a child, teenager, student and adult person, we want to talk to specialists in the field of education about who, where and how to carry out this important for all of us task and what difficulties we have to face. Laboratory of Religious Freedom bearing in mind established by the United Nations in 2019 International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence (IDCVAV) Based on Religion or Belief, that falls on August 22, chooses the twenty-second day of each subsequent month in spring 2021, to talk about how to Insightfully Develop Cultivation of Vigilance and Acceptation of Variety.

May 22 – religious freedom in education of a student
June 22 – religious freedom in the education of an adult person
ABOUT:
There is no need to convince anyone that awareness of religious freedom increases with age. Aware parents raise their children in accordance with their beliefs and are the first to shape their child's religious sensitivity. In turn, the school environment is the first place for a child, where it notices the diversity of the world, people and attitudes, also in relation to religion. The experiences of the school stage have a real impact on the later decisions and motivations of a teenager who, with the baggage of adolescence and a sufficiently formed identity, enters the academic environment, where he has a chance to undertake a critical self-reflection on his individual identity. An adult person, with a developed scale of values, needs and expectations, as well as a set of behaviors and attitudes towards matters concerning individual, family and social life, becomes another link in the multi-generational chain of mutual interactions on the secular and religious spheres. The strength that binds successive generations of Polish citizens is education in the spirit of religious tolerance.
Are we, however, aware of the role that education plays in shaping our views on the importance of religion in social life? Do we know how to use our religious freedom in social life? In the changing and multicultural reality, do we know how to teach and educate future generations of Poles/citizens respecting to the same degree religious diversity as non-denomination? Let's ask questions, look for answers and, above all, let's talk!
